For analysis:

  • Is the EWANAPI installed?
    Open CMD, enter "ewanapi -version"
  • Which version is installed?
    The result of „ewanapi -version“
  • Check the environment variable %EWANAPI_DIR%
Open CMD, enter "set ewanapi_dir" (This is the folder in which the EWANAPI is presumably installed)
  • Which version is installed?
Change to the folder in which EWANAPI is installed, then click on the file EWANAPI.exe -> right mouse button -> Properties -> Details -> Version
  • Is the folder in which the EWANAPI is installed in the PATH variable?
Open CMD, enter "set path", folder must be listed in the list
  • Are several EWANAPI instances possibly installed?
Search for ewanapi .* on the entire hard drive
  • For further analysis, logs can be found in the user directory: ewa_client*.log
For more detailed log files, download the ewa_client.properties.zip and copy it into the user directory (C:\Users\[UserID]).

The EWAnapi interface for the qualified call-up of the individual modules will no longer exist in the known form. The WIS, MSS and ASSYST calls are no longer supported. The ASRA and SSL calls have been adapted.

Since January 2023, the new XENTRY Operation Time product has been called up with the ASRA call in a qualified manner. The SSL call is converted to the new product damage code at the same time. The jump also takes place here in a qualified manner.

The JAVA application WIS/ASRA is no longer available. With the installation of the current EWANAPI, the users are automatically redirected to the successor for damage code SSL, damage code (DC). If you want to work with WIS, please open XENTRY WIS. In future, please work with our WIS/ASRA successor applications XENTRY WIS (formerly WIS), XENTRY Operation Time XOT (formerly ASRA), Damage Code DC (previously SSL) and XENTRY Integrated Maintenance (formerly MSS).

The JAVA application WIS/ASRA is no longer available. XENTRY WIS and XENTRY Operation Time (XOT) have been available in the XENTRY Portal ecosystem since October 2021. Since December 2022, another powerful module with damage code has been offered and XENTRY Integrated Maintenance will follow in January 2023. This fully offers the contents and functions of the previous WIS/ASRA product (repair and maintenance documents, operation texts and times, damage codes) within XENTRY Portal.

Symptom:
XOT can be accessed from AlphaPlus, but changes are not transferred to the shopping cart adapter. Timeouts can be found in the log files.

Possible cause:
AlphaPlus communicates via a proxy server that has been changed or shut down.

For analysis:

  • Open the command prompt as administrator
  • Check system proxy:
    „netsh winhttp show proxy“
If no system proxy is returned ("DirectAccess (no proxy server) " or similar message), the system proxy can be ruled out as the source of the fault.
  • If a system proxy is returned, it has to be checked whether it can be reached:
    "ping "
If the system proxy cannot be reached, the system proxy must either be changed or completely removed.
  • Change of system proxy (important! Basic knowledge is required here!):
    „netsh winhttp set proxy proxy-server=“proxyserver:port“ bypass-list=“server.com; ipadresse..““
  • Remove system proxy:
    "netsh winhttp reset proxy"
  • Close the command prompt.

In order to be able to provide more detailed log files, download the ewa_client.properties.zip, unpack it and copy it to your user directory (C:\Users\[UserID]). After that, the error must be reproduced again.

Please add the following attachments to the XSF ticket:

  • The last ewa_client_[No.].log files under C:\Users\[UserID]
  • Screenshots of the error

The current EWANAPI has been available in XENTRY Portal under Retailfactory Download Portal since January 2023. Access to this information is only available to authorized users.

Today, EWANAPI is used to start WIS/ASRA from within DMS. In WIS/ASRA, operations and damage codes can be researched and transferred to the DMS with "Save ". If you want to continue using this convenient feature, you should install the latest version of the EWANAPI to be able to work with it beyond the sundown. Instead of WIS/ASRA, XENTRY Operation Time (XOT) and Damage Code (DC) are called up.
